First Responders Discounted Annual State Park and Trail Passport
The Maryland Park Service announces that beginning June 1, state resident first responders can get a $40 discount for an Annual State Park and Trail Passport. The passport, which costs $75 per year for in-state residents, allows entry into any of Maryland’s 77 parks across the state for a period of one year from purchase.
This discount will be available to Maryland residents who serve as law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, and similar work. See our FAQ page for details.
Passes can also be purchased in-person at select parks. To be eligible for the discounted price of $35, the purchaser will be required to present identification or other credentials as a first responder and also proof of Maryland residency.
Benefits Include:
- Unlimited day-use entry for up to 10 people in a vehicle to Maryland's state parks (Also valid for Cedarville State Forest)
- Unlimited boat launching at ALL State Park facilities by displaying this pass on your dashboard
- A 10 percent discount on state-operated concession items and boat rentals
For parks with honor box systems, the pass covers entry service charges.
Online purchase of an Annual State Park and Trail Passport does not entitle the buyer to its privileges until they are in receipt of the actual pass. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Modification or reproduction of the Annual State Park and Trail Passport for personal or commercial use is strictly prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted. The passport is non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
